I’ve been busy and haven’t had time to post a report. A lot of lakes around NE South Dakota have been a little slower right now but Big Stone Lake on the MN and SD border is very good for perch and bluegills. Walleyes are also being caught.
Use tungsten jigs like you would use for ice fishing and spikes. Leave your bobbers at home as the bite is very soft and you have to watch you line for a twitch. It would help to put a spring bobber on you rod as you would do ice fishing.
Later on the larger perch will come off minnows.
